Scientific Name : Tricoryne elatior
Common Name : Yellow rush-lily
Height : 600 mm
Description : Leaves are few, linear, mainly basal, but reduced leaves are found at stem branches. Stems are very slender, multiple branched, with yellow flowers terminating the brachlets. Tepals are yellow, narrow lanceolate, 10mm long. When each flower is over, the Tepals twist together into a tight spiral, above the developing Ovary.
Habitat : Grasslands, heaths and open forest, usually among grasses.
Distribution : All states of Australia. Fairly common in Southern Victoria. Uncommon in the Park. Only recorded on the East side of Fosters Gully.
Flowering Season : November December January
