Scientific Name : Thysanotus tuberosus
Common Name : Common fringe-lily
Height : 600 mm
Description : Leaves form a tuft at the base of the plant, and are narrow, linear and 200 to 500 mm long. The flowering stem, bears a Panicle of bright pink flowers, each terminating a branch of the Panicle. Sepals are linear, slightly shorter than the Petals. Petals are oval up to 15mm long, with a thickened mid-rib and a conspicuous fringe, 3mm long. The fruit is a dry capsule.
Habitat : Light forests and heaths.
Distribution : Queensland to Victoria and New South Wales. Scattered throughout Southern Victoria. Fairly common in the Park, on StringyBark Ridge.
Flowering Season : November and December
Family : Liliaceae
