Scientific Name : Saproscincus mustelina
Common Name : Weasel skink
Description : A small slender skink of up to 160mm. Upper surface grey-brown with numerous light and dark scales giving a faint chequeur-board appearance. There is a dark streak through the eye, with a small white patch behind and below the eye. The tail is pale orange, merging into an deeper orange stripe on each side which fades out above the hind legs.
Habitat : Among leaf litter in wet schlerophyll forests.
Distribution : From Northern New South Wales, to Southern and Eastern Victoria. Several records for the park from Stringybark Ridge and from the vicinity of the propagation centre.
