Description : A medium-sized pigeon to 350mm. The back and tail are light brown, with a broad blackish band across the tip of the tail. The underparts are pinkish-buff, right up to the throat. The face has a white stripe just below the eye and the forehead is cream on the male, grey on the female. The most distinguishing feature is the large patch of green/bronze, with a metallic sheen, on the shoulder of the wing.
Habitat : Dry open forests and open country with scattered trees.
