Scientific Name : Calyptorhynchus funereus
Common Name : Yellow-tailed black cockatoo
Description : A very large parrot, to 650mm, with a long tail and long narrow wings. It is black all over, except for a large patch of yellow on the face, behind the eye and large panels of yellow on the tail. The bill is dark grey on the male, but near to white on the female. Feathers on the forehead may be raised to form a small crest.
Habitat : Forested areas, including pine plantations.
Distribution : South-Eastern Queensland to Victoria and South-Eastern South Australia and Tasmania. Throughout Victoria. Common throughout the Park.
