Scientific Name : Cacatua roseicapilla
Common Name : Galah
Description : A medium sized parrot, to 350mm. A plump, short-winged bird, with soft grey back, wings and tail and a bright rose-pink head, neck and breast. Above the eye, the head is near white, and the crown feathers can be raised to form a small crest.
Habitat : Open woodland, and grassland with scattered trees.
Distribution : All Australian states. Found throughout Victoria. In the Park, common along Billys Creek, but rarely recorded in the Fosters Gully section.
Family : Cacatuidae
