Scientific Name : Amanita umbrinella
Common Name : N/a
Description : Cap grey or brown, with a satiny lustre, to 100 mm diameter, sometimes with a few fragments of the Universal veil remaining. The stem is light grey to buff, with a conspicuous Striated ring. The bulbous base and remnants of Volva are often not visible above the soil surface. Gills are light buff, Free and crowded. Spores are white.
Habitat : On the ground in open forest.
Distribution : Fairly frequent in the Park, in open forest on both sides of Fosters Gully.
