Small orchid, with a single Cordate leaf, usually flat on the ground. The leaf is dark green above and purple underneath. A single flower stem is dark brown, with up to five flowers, each subtended by a Lanceolate purple Bract Appressed to the stem. Flowers are large, with the deep purple Sepals up to 40mm long, drawn out into slender filaments. Lateral Petals are only 5mm, with the Labellum 7mm. Often grows in colonies of several plants, although only a minority flower in any one season. |

Queensland to Tasmania and South Australia. Limited to areas near the coast in Victoria. Not common in the Park, where it is found near the Fosters Gully Picnic Area, occasional on the Stringybark Ridge and near the Brewsters Road entrance. |
